My WIngs

Ah yes, my favorite time of the year. Playoff Hockey! Gotta love it, especially because my beloved Wings are in the playoffs for the 20th straight year. A Professional sports record I do believe.

They are up 2-0 on the yotes and head to Phoenix for Monday and Weds games. Hopefully when they come back to Detroit they are winners of the first round.. GO WINGS

As Easter gets close, i have to start planning for the Easter breakfast that I organize and help cook for the congregation at my church. The men of the congregation get together and do all the set up,prepping cooking and serving. It is alot of fun and i have been chairing this for the last 14 yrs. I love to cook and work in kitchens so I have a blast. We scramble 25 dozen eggs, making some plain and some with peppers and onion. We also serve waffles, pancakes, sausage and toast along with all the other breakfast stuff..It is served right after our Divine Service at 9:30 Wish everyone could make it.....

Hey, where are all my chicks???

  1. 25 dozen eggs?! Yowsers! Sounds like a wonderful breakfast tradition for the congregation.

It's nice to meet you, Tom! Thanks for the intro and welcome to the blogging world! I've gently suggested that my hubby do a blog (since he is a great photographer), but so far he's not interested. He does have fun reading what I put together on mine, however! I hope that Debbie has told you that I have done a lot of wildlife photography lately. Be sure to check out my bear pictures on flickr (link on my sidebar).

I'll be looking forward to seeing more of your posts in the days ahead!

  3. Welcome to blogging! And thanks for stopping by!
My daughter is a big Red Wings fan, so although I don't always watch, I do follow through her.
Wow! Sounds like a great breakfast. I've been involved in helping with big breakfasts before, but they always used those powdery bag eggs that you put in boiling water. Uggh!

  6. Hi Tom!

So nice to meet Debbie's hubby, and my buddy Jeanette's brother!

This post so reminds me of the days when I was involved with our church group - I always loved being in the kitchen; not that I cook, but I'm good at being bossy. LOL

Take care and have a blessed Sunday!! :)

  7. Sally--do I hear a new nickname for you? "Bossy Sally?" LOL If anyone calls you 'bossy,' just tell them, "I'm not bossy; I'm just very organized, and I can organize other people's lives too!" :-)

Tom, I'm so glad you're in charge of making the Easter breakfast at church. You and "the guys" do a great job, and the food is always SO delicious! Can't wait to enjoy it!
