Fish tanks and more

I love my fish tank. It is or will be 4 years old this coming fathers day, hum, maybe 5 years old. ANYWAY, the fish you see are original fish and are survivors. I have 2 silver dollars named Pan and Cake. There was a third named E, but it swam between into a cave, got stuck and drowned. Yes fish do drown if they cannot move to have water travel through their gills. Enough fish 101. I also have one Blue Gourami named Stain. Long story on the name, one barb that I cannot remember its name and an algae eater named homey....They are fun to watch and they know when feeding time is. In fact, they are looking at me now because I am late on feeding them..

I have not been fluffing off today though. I Installed new lights in our church Library/sitting and meeting room this morning. Came home and cut the front and back grass with the beast. Debbie was bummed that I dare use "her" beast.. She said she missed it.. WOW

Now it is time to relax until we go to an anniversary party for friends of our tonight. Have a great weekend you all......

Oh and btw, I still have a full head of hair!!!!!!

I'm not sure i was smart in making this bet. I bet my fellow co-workers that if the Detroit Red Wings took the next 4 games and won their series against the San Jose Sharks, I would let them all take a turn and shave my head BALD, right in the middle of the production floor during lunch. WHAT WAS I THINKING!!!!!!! Holy skin head batman!!!! I love my wings and hope they win, but I don't know about this. I have to go to the store tonight and look at wigs... Yikes!!!!!!!

Color it now

I figured since i have been involved in color for the last 30 years that I would add a few pictures of some different mixes.

This is right before I start the mixer and blend the colorants together..

The final color. These are colors for Automotive leather that will be applied by spray machines during the final finishing process. HEY< Were did those cats come from anyway..

Nap time 2:00-5:00 I know, more than a power nap!!!

Ah yes, my favorite time of the year. Playoff Hockey! Gotta love it, especially because my beloved Wings are in the playoffs for the 20th straight year. A Professional sports record I do believe.

They are up 2-0 on the yotes and head to Phoenix for Monday and Weds games. Hopefully when they come back to Detroit they are winners of the first round.. GO WINGS

As Easter gets close, i have to start planning for the Easter breakfast that I organize and help cook for the congregation at my church. The men of the congregation get together and do all the set up,prepping cooking and serving. It is alot of fun and i have been chairing this for the last 14 yrs. I love to cook and work in kitchens so I have a blast. We scramble 25 dozen eggs, making some plain and some with peppers and onion. We also serve waffles, pancakes, sausage and toast along with all the other breakfast stuff..It is served right after our Divine Service at 9:30 Wish everyone could make it.....

Relaxed and ready for the week.

Well okay, it is already Tuesday evening and the stress is back, but at least I WAS relaxed when I came home from my Lumber Jack weekend with the guys. I had a lot of fun, went crazy with the chainsaw, moved some dirt, built a little path over a small creek,drank beers, sat around a fire every night, ate and had a bunch of laughs.

I enjoyed the drive up to Sterling. I am one for traveling alone. I love driving on the Highway, cruising at 70-75 mph all by myself. Gives ya time to think, think and think.....Stopped at a small road side Taco stand in Standish called Tonys Tacos. The best fast food Tacos up there. Good stuff...

froze my yangs off Friday night in the van . Well actually I had a heater in there but with the front windows cracked open ventilation, my nose froze.. LOL I think-it was 30 outside

Saturday night was warmer and opened the side vent window in the van this time and that saved my nose from the burrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrs....

Got slammed with a nice T-Storm Sunday morning. Rain, Thunder/lightning and hail the size of dimes and peas..Slept like a bay after i knew that I was safe..

9:22 pm 4/7/11

Well it's been a long time since I have been on here, so I think I will write some stuff. As I sit here, I have 5lbs of Sugo ( Italian for spaghetti sauce) simmering on the stove. Why so late in the evening you are asking? Well,our church is having a pot luck Saturday night for a youth choir that is visiting and singing in our church Sunday. They will arrive Saturday afternoon and, well as the saying goes, Lutherans are always looking for a reason to have pot luck, so WaLa.... LOL I volunteered to make the mostacholi. But WHY are you making it tonight you ask again?????? WELLLLLLLL

Work has been way to stressful lately, well actually all the time, so this weekend I am going up north with some buddy's to hang out on the Rifle river. One guy owns 20 acres and has a mini campground sorta thing going on there. We will cut a ton of wood and spruce up the grounds for the upcoming tubing season. What a way to kill the stress by going crazy with a chainsaw during the day and then sitting by the fire at night drinking a few beers and I will sleep in our van at night. There are a few other trailers on the land to sleep in...........So since I won't be home to make the Mostacholi on Saturday, there you go....

I have wrote enough I think......

Observation on myself

Listening to people talk

It continues to amaze me as I listen to a group of people, as they all talk at once, they actually finish conversations and understand what they just told each other.. LOL

I wonder

After watching all the new coverage on the Japanese quake/tsunami, it made me think that if an Earthquake were to happen in the middle of Lake Michigan, would our west coast and Illinois east coast get smacked with a tsunami??
